Two new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed at the University of Winchester in the last 24 hours.
One case was confirmed yesterday, and currently all cases at the university are unrelated.
The total of number of cases on campus is currently four, as two other cases have now fully recovered.
The university remains open and encourages students and staff who have not been asked to isolate to attend as normal.
The university is also contacting those who need to change their actions to prevent the spread of the virus.
The university said: “It is really important that all staff and students take all the safety measures seriously. In order to protect us all, ignoring or refusing to follow government guidelines and regulations will result in disciplinary action, including potential suspension of studies for students.”
Students are encouraged to report gatherings with over six people and can do it anonymously through the university’s intranet.
Social distancing measures continue to be in place on campus and the university continues to offer support and advice to those concerned.
There is also a Covid-careline at the university for anyone self-isolating or who is worried about anyone who is self-isolating.
